Jackie Davidson Memorial Tournament Saturday, August 28th
Lunch included (depending on participation, 8:00 & 1:00 shotgun) $100 per person / $400 per team All proceeds going to scholarship fund.
We lost a long time and beloved member of our Valleybrook family. Jackie was a universally well liked and generous man. We want to perpetuate Jackie’s memory by endowing a scholarship in his name. The scholarship will be awarded to a deserving graduate of Hixson High School, which is where Jackie attended. The scholarship will be to the University of Tennessee, which Jackie loved dearly. Anything you can do to help endow this scholarship will be deeply appreciated by the Davidson family. All contributions are fully tax deductable. Please make your check payable to the University of Tennessee. Once the scholarship is endowed, it will live in perpetuity, and thus, Jackie’s name will live on forever. If you wish to conribute, please give you donation to David Mckenna, Gibby Gilbert III or Jim Roberts. We will see to it that it gets to the right place. Thank you for your generosity.

MEN’S ASSOCIATION NEWS
Valleybrook Men’s Association will meet the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00.

LADIES ASSOCIATION NEWS
Our Area Exchange Day is August 12th and Janie has done a GREAT job preparing for this event. Please encourage all of the ladies around town to join us for the Diamonds 'n Dough at Valleybrook. The cost for Valleybrook Ladies on the cart plan is only $20, which includes lunch, pay off $'s and a $5 cancer raffle ticket. We also hope that you will bring extra "dough" for raffle tickets so that we will have a large contribution to the American Cancer Society.
What a great month we have had. Congratulations to all of our gals who played in the City Tournament this week! Wanda Harrelson, Susan Thurman and Sonja Herring. Way to go girls. Our B-Team won the Team play last week. Bonnie Blevins, Delores Wolfe, Vicki Cooke and Wanda Harrelson. We are so proud! I want to thank all of you for making our special events so GREAT! Especially: Wanda Harrelson for making our Flag day so cute and fun, Pat Wilson for continuing to encourage our 9 hole group, Bonnie Blevins for helping to make our Member/Member a special day, and Dolores Wolfe and her Team for all of their hard work on an awesome Member/Guests. Our ladies group would not be the same without YOU! We still have a lot of ladies playing at the brook who are not part of the ladies association. Please encourage to come join us.
The Bathrooms are looking better!! We had volunteers who give time, materials and donations to make this happen. Special thanks to Delores and Ray Wolfe for the decorator touch:), and to my husband, Larry, for all of his help! Let's all keep working to keep The Brook a proud place for us to play. Cassandra
